Tom Cutitta has been a professional photographer for over 45 years. He has done commercial projects as well as artistic works during his career using both chemical and digital processes.

 

Tom created International Imaging, Inc. in 1979, which now produces custom large format research and business posters as well as fine art reproductions and paperweights. Tom has been using Photoshop since 1991 and has not only been creating and retouching photographs but has evolved a method of deconstructing the photographic image and then reconstructing it. He creates a painterly effect starting with an under-painting technique and then builds layer upon layer of detail and texture digitally. After numerous revisions, Tom then prints the finished art piece on a high quality canvas that he later coats with a museum quality varnish. The final piece is applied to a stretcher or framed, ready for hanging .
